Paisley Joins 2012 Port Paradise Music Festival Lineup

Brad Paisley is among the performers scheduled for the 2-day Bud Light Port Paradise Music Festival Nov. 17-18 at Atlantis in Nassau, Bahamas, and on the private island of Coco Cay.

The event is part of a 4 day, 3 night cruise, which includes two full-size liners accommodating 5,000 promotional Bud Light contest winners.

Paisley will headline Sunday’s (11/18) concert with performers Young the Giant and The All-American Rejects at Coco Cay. The day prior (11/17), Pitbull will headline the concert with Far East Movement and Flo Rida at Atlantis in Nassau.

“This year’s eclectic lineup takes Port Paradise to the next level with a two-day music festival at the heart of the cruise,” said Mike Sundet, VP, Bud Light.

Glen Templeton’s Tour Bus in Accident

Glen Templeton’s tour bus was involved in an accident yesterday morning (8/16) while traveling on U.S. Highway 34/163 to the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines, IA for last night’s scheduled performance.

The accident occurred when the right front tire blew, sending the bus and its passengers about 250 yards into the ditch. There were no serious injuries from the accident and last night’s performance at the Iowa State Fair began as scheduled.

Luke Bryan Announces 2012 Farm Tour

Luke Bryan will set out on his fourth annual Farm Tour 2012 beginning in October 2012. The trek will give back to farming communities and award a scholarship to a student from a farming family who is attending the local college.

Farm Tour 2012 will play eight dates through several southern states, including five in his home state of Georgia. Full dates are included below.

David Nail Announces Intimate Fall Tour

David Nail will size-down production for his fall club tour, which begins Sept. 6 at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill in Cincinnati.

Nail will play Pittsburgh on Sept. 26 for the Country For A Cure concert to benefit the Payton Wright Foundation and Cancer & Blood Disorders Auxiliary of the Children’s Hospital, along with a few scheduled festival performances through November.

“Some of these rooms – like Joe’s in Chicago and the Royale in Boston – feel like home, because we’ve built something there and the fans feel like old friends,” Nail says. “They know the songs; they come to hear what we’re gonna do with them that night. I’ve been blessed with some pretty great songs, and you just can’t get them all in during a shorter set.”

Nail recently released an acoustic EP titled, 1979, which features his version of Adele’s “Someone Like You.” He has recently been on the road with Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, Billy Currington and Gavin DeGraw.

Jones Announces Farewell Tour

In 2013, George Jones will mark the end of an era with a farewell tour for his fans called The Grand Tour. After over 50 years of touring, Jones has decided he is ready to slow down and spend more time with family.

“It is tough to stop doing what I love, but the time has come,” said Jones in a statement.

The Grand Tour will visit approximately 60 cities in 2013. The star will perform many of his hits such as “White Lightning,” “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” and “I Don’t Need Your Rockin’ Chair.” 

Jones also plans to record a new studio album, and Dolly Parton has been writing songs for him. There is no scheduled release date for the project at this time.

After a brief bout with an upper respiratory infection earlier this year, Jones was forced to cancel several tour dates. However, he is currently back on the road and dates can be found here.

Kenny Chesney’s current single “Come Over” has topped the Country Singles Charts in only 11 weeks. “Come Over” is Chesney’’s 24th career #1 single and was certified Gold last week for digital sales in excess of 500,000.

“Come Over” is the second single from Chesney’s Welcome To The Fishbowl album, which has already yielded the Top 10 single, “Feel Like A Rock Star,” featuring Tim McGraw. Chesney and McGraw have been sharing the stage this summer on the Brothers of the Sun Tour. Next week, the tour makes its way to the Big Easy with a play at the Superdome and then travels to Houston for a Saturday show at Reliant Stadium.

Jason Aldean took the stage as stadium headliner Sunday night (8/5) to a sold-out crowd when the 2012 My Kinda Party Tour, presented by State Farm, stopped at Crew Stadium in Columbus, OH. The crowd of over 27,000 people was the largest in the venue’s history.

State Farm has signed on as the presenting tour sponsor for the remainder of the year. Aldean has sold out every tour date so far this year, setting attendance records at most venues. The tour tallies 1.9 million tickets sold to date, and it continues on this weekend with stops in Jacksonville, Tampa and West Palm. Brothers of the Sun Hits One Million Mark

The Brothers of the Sun Tour, with Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw, has officially hit the one million tickets sold mark, cementing its position as the hottest tour of the year. The announcement comes just after Pollstar named it the highest-grossing of 2012 thus far, more than doubling the grosses of Roger Waters and Coldplay.

Brothers of the Sun, with Chesney and McGraw, marks the ninth consecutive tour that Chesney has reached the million-tickets milestone, following last year’s Goin’ Coastal Tour.

Kristy Lee Cook Joins Ram Truck Summer Tour

Broken Bow recording artist Kristy Lee Cook will head out on the road as part of the Ram Summer Tour. Cook will post weekly videos on the Ram Truck brand’s Facebook page, offering fans a chance to win a variety of prizes through September 23.

The series will award the first 50 fans who correctly guess the upcoming tour stop each week for a gas gift card worth $25, $50 or $100, a camping tent, fish hunter rafts, sleeping bags, duffel bags, or a camouflage hunting cap. At the end of each week, one randomly chosen participant will win a pair of 2012 jet skis, or a single seat kayak. Chris Stapleton to Open For Southern Rock Royalty

Universal Music Group artist, Chris Stapleton, will open two shows for Southern rockers The Allman Brothers Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd this weekend in Charlotte (8/3), and Raleigh, NC (8/4). He will join Lynyrd Skynyrd again on August 30 at Milwaukee, WI’s Riverside Theatre.

At these dates, Stapleton will play acoustic sets for crowds in 20,000 capacity venues.

“I’ve looked up to these guys for a long time…it’s a huge honor,” said Stapleton. “I’ve got a pretty tall task ahead of me in warming up crowds this big with just my acoustic guitar, but I’m looking forward to the challenge.”

As a songwriter, Stapleton has penned four No. 1 songs and had over 150 album cuts from artists including Adele, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, George Strait, and Dierks Bentley.

Lady A Wraps European Run

Lady Antebellum’s headlining Own The Night 2012 World Tour wrapped its European leg Friday night (7/27) in Stockholm, Sweden. The trio criss-crossed the continent, playing 13 shows with stops in the UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark and Norway.

During the tour Lady A played its first-ever shows for Scandanavian fans in Copenhagen, Denmark; Gothenburg and Stockholm, Sweden; and Seljord, Norway.

Lady A keeps Copenhagen fans on their feet.

This marked the group’s second visit to Switzerland, with the most recent tour including a stop in Zurich where they performed at an outdoor venue on a beautiful night. In the UK, the trio played in Glasgow, and took a break from their headlining run to open for Bruce Springsteen in London’s Hyde Park.
