Drake Hosts XM Highway 16

Big Machine Records artist Dusty Drake hosted a three-hour live broadcast on XM's Highway 16 from the world-famous Gilley's in Las Vegas on May 13th. Special guests joining Dusty included Tracy Byrd and Big Machine Records artists Taylor Swift and Jimmy Wayne.

Taylor Swift was awarded a Digital Gold Single plaque for more than 500,000 downloads of her debut single “Tim McGraw.” The plaque presentation was made backstage during last week’s Mountain View, CA stop on Brad Paisley’s Bonfires & Amplifiers Tour where Swift is an opening act.

Miranda Lambert Opens for Dierks Bentley in Arkansas

Sony BMG Nashville and CMT execs jetted to Fayetteville, Arkansas recently to hook up with Miranda Lambert prior to opening for Dierks Bentley at the University of Arkansas' Randall Tyson Track Center. Lambert’s "Famous In A Small Town" is currently in Hot Shot Rotation on the network. Her second album, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is in stores now.

Eric Church Visits WGAR

Eric Church was in Ohio last week visiting radio and performing for fans. His first stop was in Cleveland at WGAR. Later that afternoon he treated 60 winners from WQMX in Akron to an acoustic performance of hits from his current album Sinners Like Me.
