The Music Row Yard Sale Turns Trash Into Cash

The fifth annual Music Row Yard Sale, held June 9 at the Sommet Center, yielded the highest on-site total to date, doubling last year’s proceeds. Other items are for sale at CMTAuctions.com throughout the summer, including concert tickets and artist meet and greets. Proceeds from the Music Row Yard Sale benefit event organizers Leadership Music and SOLID (Society of Leaders in Development), pictured below.


Arrows Up For Carolina Rain

Equity Music Group’s Carolina Rain hit the bullseye at The Sixth Annual Andy Griggs Celebrity Archery Tournament during CMA Music Festival. Carolina Rain is currently touring in support of their debut album, Weather The Storm.

Billy Currington Celebrates Platinum Certification

Mercury Recording artist Billy Currington celebrated Platinum certification of his sophomore release, Doin' Somethin' Right recently with a party at Radius 10. He was also presented a Platinum digital single plaque and the first ever UMG Nashville Gold Mastertone plaque for "Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right."

$15,000 Raised For Musicians On Call

Fans attending CMA Music Festival this year helped raise $15,000 for Musicians On Call (MOC), a nonprofit organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities. On June 7, 8 and 9, several of Nashville’s finest tunesmiths performed benefit concerts at the Hard Rock Writers Nights. Lending a hand were songwriters Brett James (“Jesus Take the Wheel”), Carolyn Dawn Johnson (“Single White Female”), Rivers Rutherford (“When I Get Where I’m Going”), Marv Green (“Let’s Make Love”) and The Hitmen of Music Row—Tony Mullins (“Me & My Gang”), Bob DiPiero (“If You Ever Stop Loving Me”), Craig Wiseman (“Live Like You Were Dying”) and Jeffrey Steele (“These Days”).

Emerson Drive at The Opry

Emerson Drive celebrated their first No. 1 single, “Moments,” during CMA Music Fest week and had the pleasure of performing it at the Grand Ole Opry. They were honored to meet the legendary Porter Wagoner and congratulate him on his 50th year as an Opry member.
