Category 5 Records has added Shauna to the roster which includes flagship artist Travis Tritt. Pres./CEO Ray Termini and VP of A&R Billy Joe Walker Jr. plan to release her debut single, “All Kinds Of Beautiful,” written by Rebecca Lynn Howard, this spring. The Georgia native has also signed with the Erv Woolsey Agency, whose clients include George Strait and Lee Ann Womack.

BMG Songs Nashville has added Arista Nashville’s Jason Michael Carroll to its country roster. His debut Waitin’ In The Country , sold nearly 58,000 copies in its first week.

Deon Taylor
has signed with Adobe Road Records, a new Nashville label headed by music veteran Gary Cotton. The Chattanooga native has opened for Gary Allan, Ricky Skaggs, Vince Gill and Brad Paisley. Adobe Road, also home to Brad Cotter, will release Taylor’s debut this spring.

New York based indie Cherry Lane Music Publishing will administer Elvis Presley Enterprises, LLC and the estate of Julian Aberbach's 75% share of the Elvis Presley catalogue. The catalogue contains more than 1,000 songs recorded by Presley and other contemporaries such as Peggy Lee, Nat King Cole and Ella Fitzgerald. Cherry Lane had previously administered 25% of the catalogue on behalf of the estate of Jean Aberbach.

Koch Records has launched a Nashville-based Christian music division called Kosmos Records. Barry Landis, Pres./ CEO of Landis Entertainment & Media Partners, will lead the new imprint. He has been influential in the Christian, gospel and country music genres and worked as president of Word Records prior to forming his own company. Kosmos plans to release three to four new projects each year.

Bluewater Music and its Creative Directo r Brian Sprouse have signed Big Blue Hearts frontman David Fisher to an exclusive publishing agreement. Fisher, in addition to writing the material for the Austin-based Big Blue Hearts, is a successful film and television composer.

Universal South Adds Audretch

Universal Records South has named Cliff Audretch, III Sr. Director of A&R, label President Mark Wright announced Tues., Jan. 30. Prior to joining Universal Records South, Audretch served as Sr. Director of Creative at Windswept Music Publishing. During his nine-year tenure at Windswept, Audretch was instrumental in the success of such chart-topping hits as “What Hurts The Most” (Rascal Flatts), “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” (Trace Adkins), “Brand New Girlfriend” (Steve Holy), and “Help Somebody” (Van Zant). Previously, Audretch spent three years at Nashville boutique label E-Squared Records, where he played a key role in several highly-acclaimed releases, including Steve Earle’s Grammy-nominated Train a Comin’.
