Website Educates About Ticket Fraud
Sarah Gilbert Skates – 01/05/2007
In response to increased ticket fraud, Ticketmaster has launched a new website where consumers may report incidents of ticket fraud and access information about consumer protection agencies. www.Ticketmaster.com/stopthescammers also offers information and tips about avoiding potential ticket fraud by purchasing tickets only from venue box offices or event-authorized sellers. The new service is an extension of Ticketmaster's ongoing efforts to help protect consumers from ticket scams, fraud, and deception in the secondary ticket market. The company also operates the legitimate TicketExchange resale service on behalf of more than 120 venues and sports teams throughout North America. Originally introduced in 2003 for sports teams’ season ticket holders, TicketExchange was expanded last year to enable venues and event organizers to offer authorized resale to their season subscribers and single event ticket holders.

Tim McGraw Project Due March 27
Sarah Gilbert Skates – 01/05/2007
Tim McGraw will release his first studio album in almost three years on March 27. Let It Go will be out on Curb Records. There is no word on whether this will be his last project with his longtime label home. McGraw partnered with veteran producer Byron Gallimore to form StyleSonic Records last year and release, along with Curb and Fox 2000, the Flicka soundtrack. The new studio album will be McGraw’s eleventh release, which he co-produced with Gallimore and Darran Smith, and recorded with his touring band, The Dancehall Doctors. Among the album’s thirteen tracks is first single “Last Dollar,” written by Big Kenny, and two songs featuring Faith Hill. In March 2006, Reflected: Greatest Hits V. 2, became McGraw’s ninth consecutive album to debut at No. 1. His previous studio project, 2004’s Live Like You Were Dying, debuted with career-high first week sales of 766,000 units, and to date has sold nearly 4 million copies. Last year McGraw and Hill’s Soul2Soul II tour made history as the highest grossing country tour ever. Tim is also set for upcoming film appearances in The Kingdom with Jamie Foxx and In The Valley of Elah.
