Still Working Music/Barbara Orbison World Publishing recently re-signed Luna Halo frontman and SESAC songwriter Nathan Barlowe. They then stopped by the SESAC Nashville headquarters to celebrate. The band is currently writing material in preparation for its next album.

The Delta Music Museum in Ferriday, Louisiana hosted the first annual Ferriday Songfest recently, with several Nashville tunesmiths in attendance. The songwriters’ workshop, funded by a state grant and free to attendees, was held at the Museum’s newly renovated Arcade Theater.

Columbia Nashville’s Miranda Lambert performed a special, acoustic set at Bixby High School’s homecoming pep rally to award the students with the most school spirit in all of Tulsa, OK. The Bixby High School Spartans had the largest number of votes on the KVOO.com website among all the participating high schools in and around the Tulsa, Oklahoma listening area. Sponsored by CarMax, the event was hosted by KVOO's morning show hosts, Gary Greenwood and Sunny Leigh. CarMax also donated $10,000 to Junior Achievement.
