BMI cheered the success of songwriter Bobby Pinson on Oct. 30, whose most recent collaboration with Sugarland, “All I Want to Do,” topped the charts. Kristian Bush, also a BMI songwriter, and Jennifer Nettles, were on the road and unable to attend. Pinson has also written for Toby Keith, Trent Tomlinson, Emerson Drive and Marty Stuart.

Show Dog Nashville’s Trailer Choir is back in the studio working on new music. The group has a new EP entitled Trailer Choir available digitally, and the Nov. 7 People Magazine’s country edition features Trailer Choir’s song “Rockin’ the Beer Gut” as a free download via their web site. Also, the group's Big Vinny has unleashed the first installment of his Sexy Dance Machine series on the web, available on YouTube.

CMT Radio Network and Westwood One will launch CMT Radio Live With Cody Alan in January 2009. The new syndicated show will open nationally in over 50 markets, including 40 Cumulus Media markets, airing weeknights from 7 PM- 12 AM/ET, live from CMT’s radio studio in downtown Nashville.
Alan is a veteran country music DJ and Program Director who will relocate to Nashville from Salt Lake City, Utah where he is currently the afternoon host and PD at KEGA/101.5 The Eagle.
