Hits: “Don’t Waste My Time”
Together since 1998, the multi-talented quartet (Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet, Kimberly Roads, Jimi Westbrook) made their first public performance as Little Big Town at the Grand Ole Opry. Months later, they were signed to Monument Records/ Sony Music Nashville and the group immediately started work on their debut album. With guidance from Grammy Award-winning producers Blake Chancey and Paul Worley along with Associate Producer David Lyndon Huff, Little Big Town wrote six of the album’s 10 songs and co-produced the entire album. They also broke from tradition by recording their vocals first and then adding the music.
“The dynamics of Little Big Town’s talent go beyond just performing,” says Allen Butler, Sony Music Nashville President/CEO. “They write, produce, arrange and sing with such style, they’re sure to fill the bill of much needed new superstars in our format.”
