On her Capitol Nashville debut album, My World, Cyndi Thomson stands center stage with soaring vocals and a gift for songwriting. In fact, all but two of the songs carry her name under the songwriting credits. “She has a presence and maturity about her,” says co-writer and co-producer Tommy Lee James. “As a songwriter, she always tells the truth and refuses to fall back on a cliche.” Cyndi herself acknowledges that her clarity is unusual for someone her age. “A lot of people tell me that I have an old soul,” she says. “I have an ability to talk about these things.” Overall, she concludes, “I was born to share my heart.”
