Downtown Nashville will experience some changes in traffic flow to accommodate the numerous events and activities that are part of 2008 CMA Music Festival. The annual four-day festival will take place Thursday through Sunday, June 5-8, but road closures will begin earlier in the week.
On Tues., June 3, one lane of Fifth Ave. from Demonbreun to Broadway will be closed.
On Wed., June 4, Fifth Ave. from Demonbreun to Broadway will close as well as First Ave. from Demonbreun to Church St. Broadway from First and Third Aves. will also close on this day.
During the afternoon of Wed., June 4, there will also be temporary road closures for The Fourth Annual CMA Music Festival Kick-Off Parade and The Third Annual CMA Music Festival Block Party. Beginning at 2:00 PM/CT, Broadway will close from Third to Seventh Aves., Demonbreun will close from Third to Seventh Aves. and both Third and Fourth Aves. will close from Broadway to Demonbreun. These road closures are scheduled to be re-opened at the end of the Kick-Off Parade (approximately 3:00 PM/CT).
With the exception of the temporary closures during the Kick-Off Parade, all road closures will re-open on Monday, June 9.
