Sugarland and Kellie Pickler will debut songs during the May 18 ACM Awards, airing live on CBS. Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush will perform “All I Want To Do,” the lead single from their upcoming third album for Mercury Nashville. For the first time they recorded the project in their hometown, Atlanta, instead of in Nashville. About to go into the mixing phase of the album, Nettles commented, “It is the record—with the songs, with the performances, with the musicians—that I have always wanted to make.” Bush added, “I can’t say how excited I am about this. It is the most powerful thing that I think we’ve done yet.” Sugarland is nominated for Top Vocal Duo, as well as Single, Song and Video of the Year for “Stay.” Nettles and Bush both received nominations for producing the track and video, and Nettles for writing the single.
Pickler will debut “Don’t You Know You’re Beautiful,” the first single from her sophomore album which will be released later this year. Written by Aimee Mayo, Chris Lindsey and Karen Rochelle, the single will be available to radio in June. “It’s such a great song,” says Pickler “with a positive message and it’s different than any other song I’ve recorded before.” After winning three trophies at the recent CMT Music Awards, she is nominated for ACM Top New Female.
