On his fifth USO Tour, Toby Keith visits US troops in the Persian Gulf and Germany. The tour started off with a performance at a remote Forward Operating Base on the Pakistani border in Afghanistan and then to Baghdad, where he was welcomed by nearly 200 soldiers, airmen and marines.

Leadership Music is still requesting donated items to sell at its 5th Annual Music Row Yard Sale being held Saturday, June 9. Autographed or big ticket items such as meet and greet passes are particularly needed for the fundraiser. Volunteers are also needed at the pricing/sorting parties on Thurs. 5/30 4–6:30 PM, and Fri. 6/01 5–7 PM, and at the Yard Sale on Sat. 6/09 in shifts running 6 AM–2 PM. The event takes place during the CMA Music Fest at the Sommet Center (formerly GEC). The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s 11th Annual Ultimate Country Classic Golf Tournament will be held June 25 at Nashville’s Gaylord Springs Golf Links. Celebrity participants include Heidi Newfield, Cole Deggs and The Lonesome, Tennessee Titans Cheerleaders, and Tennessee Titans player Daniel Loper. From breakfast through dinner, players will enjoy all-inclusive food and drinks from Budweiser and Coke as well as complimentary CAO cigars. Fresh Point will provide chilled fruit. Course games will include a putting contest, guess-your-distance, and Hole-In-One contests to win a Toyota truck, Tracker boat, and an Artic Cat ATV. Bass Pro Shops will provide cash prizes and merchandise to the best and worst scoring golf teams. The event is presented by Bass Pro Shops and Red Light Management along with radio partner 95.5 The Wolf.

The inaugural Steve Azar St. Cecilia Foundation Benefit & Jam will be held Thurs., June 7 at B.B. King's Blues Club in downtown Nashville. From 4:30-7:30 PM, fans will enjoy food, drinks and performances by Azar and surprise guests. There will be a silent auction including jewelry donated by Princess World Jewelers, autographed memorabilia and a VIP package for four days at the 2008 American Ski Classic in Vail, CO. The Foundation was started in 2006 to provide aid to disadvantaged, sick and abused children in the Delta and Nashville areas. Tickets are $30 each.
