Chad Bradford “Cornbread Fed”

05/07/2007

Writers: Chad Bradford, Ricky Pierce, Tommy Glasgow; Producers: Charlie Craig, Joe Danna; Label: JD Jam Records; www.jdjamrecordsnashville.com

Singer Chad Bradford originally planned to become a physician, but decided instead to pursue his musical dreams. The native of Hatton, Alabama got his first taste of the honky tonks at age 18 when he performed at the Nashville Lounge in nearby Sheffield. As the young singer had only previously performed in church and school, this proved to be a big adjustment. But before long he began making a name for himself in the venues of north Alabama and south Tennessee, even winning first place in the renowned Jimmy Dean Talent Contest in Muscle Shoals. Bradford eventually made the move north to Nashville and, in 2006, signed with Nashville-based JD Jam Records. His producer Charlie Craig has written hits for Travis Tritt, Reba McEntire, Alan Jackson, Lorrie Morgan, Johnny Cash, George Strait, Dolly Parton, and more. The single "Cornbread Fed," written by Bradford, Ricky Pierce, Tom Glasgow and recorded at EMI Studios in Nashville, was released nationwide April 16 and is going for adds now. Bradford and his band will be touring the nation throughout 2007.
