Equity Music Group recording artist Laura Bryna performed as the opening act for Emmylou Harris at United Cerebral Palsy of Central Maryland’s Black Tie & Blue Jeans Concert event to raise money and awareness for the organization.

Songwriter James Slater (“In My Daughter’s Eyes”) will perform for patients at 1 p.m., April 13 at Vanderbilt’s Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital. Joining Slater to entertain will be Fox 17 personality Kelly Sutton as well as Justin Levenson and Max Abrams. This performance is in conjunction with the upcoming 34th Annual Music City Tennis Invitational (April 21-22), which benefits the hospital’s Center for Child Development.

The Chef's Market Bachelor/Bachelorette Celebrity Auction 2007 will take place 6:30 p.m. Tues., April 17 at the Vanderbilt Student Life Center (310 25th Ave.). Prince Lorenzo Borghese of ABC's The Bachelor Rome and Brad Schmitt of WKRN News 2 will host the event, which benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Tickets cost $75. www.NashCelebAuction.com
