Radio veteran and Country Music DJ Hall of Famer Billy Cole passed away March 8 at age 47. Most recently, Cole had been broadcasting a Sunday night classic country show for MR Reporter KMGO/Centerville, Iowa. A memorial service will be held Mon., March 12 at Hamilton South Town Funeral Home in Des Moines, Iowa.

Thirty Tigers Music will sponsor a benefit concert 8 p.m. Sat., April 7 at the Basement to help children in northern Ugandan refugee camps integrate into a national Ugandan music, dance and drama festival. The festival is organized by The Kampala Project under the Office of Active Citizenship and Service at Vanderbilt University.
