Sara Evans, (L) a 2007 Celebrity Cabinet member for the American Red Cross, recently joined Nashville Area Chapter volunteer and recipient Phoebe Cantrell (R) for a photo shoot for the new Red Cross ad campaign.

The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee and SunTrust Bank will present the “Women Who Love Chet” concert at 7 p.m., Feb. 23 at Nashville’s Cannery Ballroom. Suzy Bogguss, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Brenda Lee, Gillian Welch and Emmylou Harris will all perform to benefit the Chet Atkins Musical Fund. Tickets are $200 and include food, drinks and valet. Songwriter and businessman James “Larry" Latimer of Canton, Ga. passed away Fri., Jan. 26. He was co-writer of "Time Off For Bad Behavior," a hit for Confederate Railroad and David Allen Coe, and also wrote the famous jingle for John Deere tractors. Latimer, 59, was named Georgia Songwriter of the Year in 1985. Along with Tom Long, Latimer is credited with discovering The Kentucky Headhunters and was also was a founding member of the Atlanta Songwriters Association with Long and Steven Weaver. Latimer went on to found The Latimer Agency and Concentra Solutions. He was also a popular motivational humorist. Services were held in Sandy Springs, Ga.
