‘Trisha’s Southern Kitchen’ Returns For Second Season

Trisha Yearwood will bring her Trisha’s Southern Kitchen back to the Food Network for a 13-episode second season, inviting husband Garth Brooks and Allie and August Brooks to the show for holiday-themed episodes.
Shot in Oklahoma, the shows premiere Oct. 20 at 10 am CT on Food Network, including Southern Brunch and Sunday Supper, Halloween and Thanksgiving traditions, and tips for slimming down traditional Southern home cooked meals.
Brooks will help create his favorite Black Bean Lasagna and Miss Mickey’s Peanut Butter Balls, while Allie and August Brooks bring a costume surprise for Halloween. Many of Yearwood’s family members and close friends are slated visit the program. Yearwood will also sing a version of one of her biggest hits in an emotional wedding shower episode.
“I’m so excited for season two. Sharing my family recipes and having the people I love most by my side is such a joy,” said Yearwood. “This show celebrates what living life to the fullest is all about.”
Yearwood released her first best-selling cookbook Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen (Clarkson Potter) in 2008. Her second book, Home Cooking with Trisha Yearwood (Clarkson Potter), followed in 2010.
