Vern and I were Brother inlaws for 16 years and friends for 51 years. Verns style of country music was a mix of all the great sounds he loved. But he could sing any kind of music , Rock, Bluegrass , Gospel, even easy listning. But he loved the style of country he sang best.
God bless you dear and old friend.

Vern Gosdin is in a dead heat with Jones for the title of the greatest country singer who ever lived. He definitely belongs in the Country Music Hall of Fame. I was fortunate enough to see him perform, and to meet him once. He still occupies most of the space on my CD player.
