I just learned of Dan's passing a moment ago while filling out my radio stations sweepstakes. Not the best way to discover that one of my musical inspirations has died. What I don't understand is, how it is possible that I wasn't even aware of his illness! I have been a Dan Seals fan since his first big hit,"I'd Really Love To See You Tonight" I performed many of hos songs with my band. I will miss him deeply.
R.I.P. Dan! You will be missed!

I'm so sorry to hear of Dan's passing. I grew up listening to his music. Everytime I hear "Montana" or "Everything that Glitters" come on the radio here, a part of me goes back to my childhood. I thank him for helping me keep that innocent part of my life close to my heart. We'll miss you Dan!

My husband and I heard the news of Dan's passing on the radio yesterday and we both were so devastated. We were fortunate to see him perform in an intimate setting several years ago in Tucson and marveled at his incredible talent and energy. Every time I see an "old yellow car" I think of him! My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends.

Thank you for this...Dan was truly a living legend who often never got the credit he deserved.

One quick error I noticed, the Sam Cooke song was "Good Times," not "Good News."

So sorry to hear of Dan's passing. I absolutely loved his collaborations with John Ford Coley and the marvelous productions with hit-maker Kyle Lehning. My first trip to Nashville as a young writer was heavily influenced by their hits between 1975-1979. My only Contemporary Christian hit single "Make Sure" in 1980 had a Shane Keister keyboard intro and Joe Osborn bass licks right out of their playbook. God bless his family and may he rest in the peace of our Heavenly Father.
